Just keep adjusting your NFB til it's right. The system works well when it's set up right. With HYD you have to read the boat and react rather than feel it.

Not ball bearings, rollers. But yeah, they're what the clutch is made up of. Remove them, and it's like direct cable steering. The only Internet I have is on my phone, so difficult to recover old pictures, but if you're going to get into it, and you have a little patience, I can dig them up for you.

Turbo nitro sweet sled. I pass by a anniversary edition Yamaha for sale every day the white red graphics . Wanna stop to see what it is so bad but why torture myself. Lol! So just take out those ball bearings and walla no lock up? Does it affect anything else like play or real loose steering?

Dude, I know All about exes... I have 2 of them lol.... Sold 3 sleds earlier this year, truck and SUV... Down to boat, rented apartment and an old school crown vic... Living low this year, hope to pick up a turbo nytro for next winter...

The Nfb part of Nfb steering can be disabled by removing the 3 rollers in the helm. That way the clutch is disabled and you're direct cable steering. I have pictures of the assembly somewhere if needed, I can post them.

I wondered if the NFB could be disabled. Anybody try the pre tech America dual rack?

I had a place in Thetford VT , 06 Yamaha vector, 73 340 Cuda and a few other toys but sold In my divorce. X had more $ than brains lawyers cleaned us both out. Slowly building back up and out of debt, but anyway I love it up north! Further up the better would haved moved in a heart beat but 2 young kids. Now winter has lost its magic for me after having nothing to ride for 3 yrs. Now riding a 93 440 article cat 2 up isn't much fun when your buddy's are riding 2012 800 revs. Lol!
Bought my vector and was hooked. Besides the views are alot better out on a boat then all bundled up on a sled. Lol!
