The asking price seams to be a little on the high side. You will be a lot better off going into it assuming it needs a core, doing a good inspection with core samples. You will be better off if you get lucky and it doesn't than hoping and finding out it does.

this has been advertised for a couple of months now

Any thoughts on it (is waterskiing considered abusive to the structure as you might think with a car that was used for towing?), maybe the owner is also on the board or somebody actually knows this boat?
While I am not too exited about the brown color (had too many Mercedes W116 in that 70s color), we have started to enjoy being on the water so much that we stay hours into the darkness on it. The transition to boat where you can sleep over is somewhat logical, isn't it?
