Removed.

This is why I pay for my own server to host my own images.

Adam, should probably take TinyPic off the list seeing as they are no more. They were owned by photobucket and they shut it down. I see a lot of more broken pictures in here now and as of Sept 19th 2019, you can no longer retrieve any pictures of their site. They nuked every picture and killed the servers. Another one down.

Great idea. As I was looking through my phone photo gallery I noticed the file size of the screen shots were pretty small. It just didn't click how easy it would be. Thanks!

The pic I tried to post was just over 4m. I totally get why we can't post a bunch of high res pics. I'll play around on my phone and see what I come up with. Thanks!

You have to resize them on your phone. I forget off hand what the size limit is. I'll have to look when I get home from work tomorrow. I can remove the limits but then it will make for sometimes very long load times and hog up data for mobile devices when people post a lot of pics that are like 8megs or bigger. There are a lot of very easy to use image resizers in the app stores. I'm also looking into a server side resizer but having some issues getting it to work properly.

So, my phone camera takes pics in a file too large for the attachment option available with a standard reply function. Do I resize and save the image on my phone, then choose that file? Or is third party still the best option. What is the ideal image size anyway? Sorry. Showing my age, technology is moving faster than I am these days.

The following sites DO allow 3rd party hosting of images, and are free:

Photobucket images no longer allowed.

Effective immediately, due to recent changes in Photobuckets terms and 3rd party image hosting policies, Photobucket hosted images will no longer be allowed here from this point forward. If you choose not to use the attachment option built into the forum, there are a few other image hosting sites that still provide free or very low cost options but as of now, Photobucket hosted images will be off limits until further notice.

Sorry for any issues this may cause.
