I like to keep tabs on any new posts, and they have dropped off. It is a great site and am sad that it might end. I do check in pretty regularly, but have not been posting much, due to a stalled Viking project, and nothing new to add. If there is anything I can do to help get the traffic back to the site, let me know. I don't use facebook and understand I am probably missing all the conversation, but work on computers all day long, and don't want to do facebook when I get home. Let's find a way to get the traffic back to the site if possible.

Sorry took so long to reply, been crazy besy all week with work and some family stuff so havent really been online much all week.

I am all for coming up with options to try and get some traffic back here. And as far as Facebook, I completely understand. In fact I have really stepped away from it A LOT in the last 2 months. There is a group on there that was created by someone else and was the sole admin of the group and about a year ago I took it over so I am the sole admin and it has something like 1300 plus members and while im sure 98% of the people have no clue I am the admin. I have been thinking of merging the Hydrostream Forums group on Facebook with the Hydrostream Boat Lovers group and changing the name and kind of pushing that as the FB group page and see promote it more. Im sure over half of the members there dont really have a clue about the web site so if we can get them here maybe.

For those who aren't on the HydroStream owners FB page, The Frost your nuts run is scheduled for Oct. 15th with the 16th as a rain day.

If I don't have any issues during break-in I will be there.
Heading back down in 8 days. Forgot to post July's trip progress. Motor on and running. Will update my other thread on the build.

Well, things didn't go as planned but I did stay busy on the boat.
The unplanned issues were the motor delivery guy couldn't make delivery while we were there. (The boat he was transporting wasn't on a proper trailer) and the upholstery guy was having doubts on the job and stalled out. Got both back moving but will have to wait till our July 2-10 trip to install.

I did get the boat back on the rotisserie.

Some of the parts I had to put on.

With the boat upside down, I was able to get the huliner put in. I used a landau top sprayable contact cement. It won't release with heat like other spray glues. This stuff gets applied thru an old style spray gun.

Image

I decided to add a horizontal transom stiffener. Well basically a shelf to attach filter and pumps to.

I got the mechanical trim indicator cables run and the shifter cable.

I carefully installed my new coast guard capacity decal.

Image

I was able to get the rigging hoses and two of the six cable bezels installed. (The other four bezels are with the motor.)

Image

Can't see them all but grab handles and mushroom cleats were installed.

I buffed out the top side of the boat and put the cover on it.....

The carpet is at Phil Blomquist's flooring store in Spokane. He has a HS and drove over last year to check out the boat (3 hr drive!!) He wanted to install the carpet this trip but was too busy. Hoping for July. All the proper colored wiring, fittings, and heat shrink is with the motor as is the trim pump, battery box, fuel pump bracket, jack plate, etc... etc....

Heading down to the property this Sunday for a week. Got my Hulliner, carpet, motor, wiring, and the last of the rigging stuff either there now or en-route. Gonna be a busy week in the boat. I'll post pictures when I get back.
