I had a viking.. bought at Howards auction....i think or was told that...boat came from PA called then with the # on the side.
They sent me some paper work had the bill of sale.
One hour at the DMV got the title.
My boat never had a title so mine was the 1st.
If a title has been made that makes it harder im sure.
I know a bill of sale goes a long way at the DMV.
Even a hand writen one.
The fact that the state knows the owner but will not give his name is uncool.
The owner of abandon property or public notice of abandon property. Might be a good route.
Report it abandon at your house/ public notice.
No show use the PD Report file for new title.
Use the PD or sheriff to flush the owner or force states hand to issue you a tittle.
