Thanks to everyone who responded. I did purchase the boat. It is a 1978 Viking with a 150 Mercury Black Max on it. Looks like a new stainless prop the one with the holes near the back of the blades. I've been away from the performance area for a while but I do remember these were suppose to help cavitation or something. I didn't see what pitch, I know some you have to pull to see it stamped on the inside. If it ever quits raining down here will do that. I did do as HST4ME suggested and rapped on the transom with the plastic handle screwdriver. It was a good solid sound., as was the floor and rest of the boat. The guy i bought it from thinks the guy he bought it from may have had some restore work done on it. He did tell him he did some mods to the motor and it is putting out more that 150 HP but he said he don't know if that is true or not. Didn't get to run it like i wanted but when the rain stops and it warms a bit will take it out for a good run to see what it will do.
