Technically, the St. Louis race is in the suburb of Maryland Heights on Creve Coeur Lake in Creve Coeur County Park. It's a very nice area...don't worry about crime. Awesome race site with lots to do around there...it's one of my favorite races.

The St. Louis race looks like something I could maybe do. Maybe Chet and I (and anyone else) could car pool. LOL

The Wheatland race looks like a good one brand new facilitys and not that I dont like St louey but Im betting less crime .I think its a national to end of July hot chicks from Osage beach which is a beautiful lake to boat on about a hour away from Wheatland . Plus I feel that if a small Comunity is willing to support racing as they have they need are support . They have a great dirt track there also. Click on link from previos post in thread purpose built boat drag strip this well be history as it well be a nation first if I heard correctly .Plus AZ is a litte far to go for a boat race

I try to get out here...will definitely get out here more. Thanks.

I've raced everything from Mercury drag powered Allison Drag Boats and Mirage Quartermasters to my Allison Bass Boat with a 225 Johnson on it and I have an equal amount of fun running all of them. The bracket format is really revolutionary for racing a boat off the lake like most of us have. In fact, I'm hoping to refurbish my Dad's HST so my Son can eventually run it in River Racer class. I may put 400 HP worth of OMC on it for me first though! :-)

St. Louis would be a GREAT race to make it to. That's a national series race so you'll see Top Fuelers there...250 MPH in 1000' !!!! It's unreal. I was on the holding rope there once when one ran by...I was able to find ever loose bolt in the boat. When that thing started, everything rattled...it was insane being 100' from 6000 HP.

Wow, thank you Sam.

If I can swing it I will look into the St. Louis race. It's a 9 hour drive but sure sounds like fun.

Thanks again for posting this

Here is the schedule of races for 2011. These are "bracket" races which means you have to run to an indexed time and not have to worry about engine or weight rules. If you can run 60 MPH or faster, you can race. If you've ever wanted to try drag racing, this is the way to do it. You'll also get to see boats run as fast as 260 MPH at some of these races...it's insane. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. - Sam Baker
