I went to my local hardware supply store (Princess Auto) and picked up a 1/2 ton chain hoist (for my jig/rotisserie) and a tungsten carbide brazed cup wheel.
We'll see how this thing works out.

I use a 16 grit 4 1/2" disc with a rubber back-up pad. Flat gets with the program.

In the wood shop the cup wheel is the only way to go.
I also like setting the hight of my cir saw then cutning on the outsides of the ply wood few cuts down the middle and pry up the bad wood. Use more then one pry bar i like a flat wonder bar better then the olg round more surface pressure. Just dont force it used two bars and work them together dont damage the skins. When it still good wood more cuts smaller chunks but makes it easy.

Thanks. I'll have to try and find one online. I see a lot of diamond cutting discs and blades on sites like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc., but that one from EC looks more like a "diamond cup wheel"

eBay has one. Looks similar to the EC one you posted.

For core removal, this is the only way to go. Chet (77viper) has one that did his Viper, my vulture, his vking, and one or two others. No more buying hundreds of grinding disks. I used the 4 1/2 inch disk and it was a HUGE life saver. It cut my demo time in half easy on my Vulture. If I remember right its a 60 grit disk. I would call just to confirm that.

Plus a lot of members here have done a good amount of business with Express Composites. They are amazing people and will answer just about any question you have.

Just be careful though as that metal grinding disk can get away from you in a hurry if you're not careful. Trust me, I know. lol

Hope that helps.

Just curious as to what types of discs people have used for grinding their interior hull prior to laying new glass/core?
There are so many types for angle grinders I'm not exactly sure which kind to invest in.

Cutoff wheels?

Flap discs?

Quick-Strip Discs?
