Ok so after searching the basement I called my parents and they have all the pictures of it. Gonna get up there within the next 3 weeks so I'll have some pictures at that point.....You will also get to see a Russian jeep called a LADA NIVIA 4x4 we rebuilt....that was a tough rebuild as most of our tools wouldn't fit it's parts. aaaand EVERYTHING WAS IS RUSSIAN!!!!! Man we were speaking it by the time we were done. Used it as a bush buggy/ boat mover as it had a hitch on the front.

I had an uncle (great uncle or something) that had a few glastron carlsons and had one just like that but blue. That was a neat old boat but his was an outboard.

That was the drive manufacturer, old stringer drive. I have never worked on one but have seen them.

Yeah they have great original style! Ours had major issues with the motor that lifted the engine on the mounts. Pretty cool design having the engine move up and down. Do you know of any other manufacturer that made a model with that feature?

I had the chance to work on almost the identical boat last year, 2 tone brown. They had just got it back from having a new interior made for it the boat looked mint but had some drive issues that we took care of. I wanted to take it out for a test drive in a bad way. Cool boats.

One of my fondest memories with my Grandpa was fixing up a early 80s Glastron Carlson cv16 ss. It took us 9 months as there was soo much wrong with it. We bought it from a neighbor, it belonged to his father who had passed away. It has what I believe was called a phantom hull? (details are a little fuzzy as I was only 15) Needless to say before we sold it back to him I had one single summer of speeds I had never seen in my little fishing boat and an instant passion for classic boats. It was impressed on me early on that most of today's boats relatively look like the same family oriented margarine tub that has been produced in the last 15 years. I always wanted something with unique lines and paint job that would turn heads and scream by your average boat. This video took me back as it looks identical to our project.

Our neighbor at the cottage still has it....hasn't put it in the water, which is a shame aaaand last year a tree fell on it putting a big rip in the deck. Maybe I should make him an offer and get her back in the shop!

I will dig up the restoration pics and post them ...hope I can find them!
