idk what that motor should be at for WOT rpms but try a bigger prop for ex maybe a 22" pitch see what you turn for rpms then and what it does for your speed...
really depends on what you want to do with the boat

I recently had the floor out of my hst and made a new support for the floor out of composite and installed a new floor our of 1/2" Mari e ply... My transom is solid and dry... My question is what is the deal with the core in the hst... I did not touch the from the gas tank floor back it seemed ...

If you have the floatation foam up front your in for a real battle. I borrowed every 1/4 inch drive extension I could find, spent half the day tig welding the washers to the nuts and another whole day and a box of beer installing them. lmao sounds like a mission... i guess its a good thing im a fab...

i noticed on my hst on the front of the deck (where it comes to a point the center screw on the molding (the ones all around the boat that go through the molding through the deck through the hull and hold everything together) well in the front of the boat the previous owner already went up a size on...

not for nothing but...... im glad this guy is ok but what are you thinking at that speed crossing a wake nevermind crossing at an angle that could have been alot worse ...
