Voyager XT Land & Sea jack plate sender

Not much room to work in there. Engine down and access from the front was best. Melted the tabs off the old unit with a red hot chisel. New unit is a Johnson trim-tilt sender #582153 from Ebay for $70. Replaced spacers with 2 joined pairs of 3/4" coupling nuts for a fixed pedestal for new unit....

NGK BU8H plugs(On-line: $1.84) are semi-surface gap and don't have the big well alongside the electrode to collect fuel/oil. Replaced heat sensor as it seemed enrichment circuit was on while engine was warm. New sensor has mounting crush material insuring positive thermal conductivity. So far, so go...
