Maybe it was just so rotten it came out with a broom and I didn't realize it was actually core...it was pretty sad shape

Yes the float boxes are out and the core under them..
Only thing that hasn't come out yet is the crossbrace forward in the nose. I'm going to add support to my trailer tomorrow before I take all that out

Had a floor in it, side steer, with float boxes. I'm pretty sure it was factory. I'm switching to center steer. I thought about just doing a stringer setup but I don't think it will hold up going across my lake as its a 13 mile diameter bowl that can get ugly...not a huge lake by any stretch but the...

What limits the promax...I got no problem with mixing oil and removing a rev limiter...are you saying the bearings in the promax won't hold up above 6500??

Motor choice for 79 vector build

Im currently rebuilding a 79 vector. Core, floor, transom, everything. I'm looking for it to be 100+mph boat. I'll be shaving weight everywhere I can but Im not sure what motor i want/need. Thinking about a 2.4 bridgeport, promax 225, or 2.5 260, possibly others. I mean I know the 260 will get to 10...
