What's the gear ratio of the lower, what ya running for a prop(pitch,3 or 4blade, and make+model), what was the max rpm's you turned the motor so far and what approx speeds were you seeing?? Thanks for the input Ron! Ill try to get pics up after work late tonight.. Soo, I went over the hull bottom again in better light and found a hairline crack on the left vertical edge that goes down to the center pad--- so I ripped the floor out and found an old shoddy repair, and also NO CORE IN THE...

Repairing hairline crack on side of Virage pad & recoring pad too..

Cut a 2in by about 6in section and barely got half of that out as it is was laminated so well!! So thinking of grinding shoddy repair glass out, then more there where ...

Need the 2 brackets for v6 merc cowl bottoms & hi-po reed cages!!

Hi everyone, I was hoping maybe someone had a set of the front and rear brackets that bolt to the 2piece fishing motor exhaust plates that hold the 2piece bottom part of the engine cowl in place that they could part with!!? Oh and I also need the rubber mounts that are tapered and fit into the botto...

Repairing hairline crack on side of Virage pad & recoring pad too..

That's really good to hear Hippie! Yeah I've read every single thread on anything to do with the Virage hulls-- and searched and saved most every picture too- I'd love to go all out at some point and do almost exactly what Ron has done with his last Virage, esp gutting all the foam out of the sponso...

Repairing hairline crack on side of Virage pad & recoring pad too..

Thanks Hippie, there is only core in the center pad on the Virages, I got some pics to give anyone looking a better idea but yes- only way I could see the hairline crack happening on the side of the pad is because the core is compromised(delaminated from either glass side, rotten etc)- or hitting so...

Repairing hairline crack on side of Virage pad & recoring pad too..

So, thankfully I didn't take the Virage for a quick spin with the motor that came on it cause I found a 2ft long hairline crack on the left side of the center pad-- and it is low enough that the core must be compromised.. So, had a buddy look at it quick and it is an old shoddy repair.. Im just abou...

where exactly should i drill Virage sponson drain plug holes??

Oh, and forgot to mention its a '91 stage 1 hull....so it's not the knife edge sponsons of the stage 2/3 hulls and there's plenty of room for the drain plug housings... I can't wait to get this thing lightened up as much as possible and of course made solid too but hopefully at least ill have someth...
