Re: Unbelievable - Last Virage just pulled from molds

The hull will probably be available. I haven't heard a number, but thinking in the $3500 range for hull and deck. Mold location is unknown. I initially had said this boat was pulled from the molds. Aaron called me to let me know that they didn't actually pull the boat from the molds...this just happ...

Unbelievable - Last Virage just pulled from molds

I got an e-mail from Aaron Wachholz who my brother Jeff is partnering with to build race boats in Minnesota. Howard Pipkorn mentioned to them that there was a hull and deck sitting in storage - the very last hull and deck to be pulled from the molds - and that he may like to sell it. So, he had them...

HST Update Information

Hey guys, my Brother and I are considering taking my HST and updating it, building new molds, etc. If you could change your HST, how would you change it? We are looking at keeping it a "family-tuned race boat" where the focus would be on the racing aspect of it. If you want a family HydroS...

Super Sentimental Project

As many of you know, my Dad passed away a few months back. HydroStream was one of the most important things in his life as he raced them and designed them with Howard in the mid 70s. I practically grew up at the New Brighton plant. I'd run around in the yard jumping in all the boats while Howard and...

Technically, the St. Louis race is in the suburb of Maryland Heights on Creve Coeur Lake in Creve Coeur County Park. It's a very nice area...don't worry about crime. Awesome race site with lots to do around there...it's one of my favorite races.

Re: Bracket Drag Schedule - 2011. Try it...you'll like it!

I try to get out here...will definitely get out here more. Thanks. I've raced everything from Mercury drag powered Allison Drag Boats and Mirage Quartermasters to my Allison Bass Boat with a 225 Johnson on it and I have an equal amount of fun running all of them. The bracket format is really revolut...

Bracket Drag Schedule - 2011. Try it...you'll like it!

Here is the schedule of races for 2011. These are "bracket" races which means you have to run to an indexed time and not have to worry about engine or weight rules. If you can run 60 MPH or faster, you can race. If you've ever wanted to try drag racing, this is the way to do it. You'll als...

Vintage Race Footage - Venturas

Well, since my Dad passed away, I've been going through my folks' old Super 8 movie collection and there are some treasures in there. They have race movies from 1964-1982 or so. This is the first thing I've had converted and up on youtube...I'll be doing a lot every day I hope. Anyway, this is Famil...

Re: I cant take anymore !!!!!!!!

You'll also notice that Skeeter bass boats from that era had bottoms that looked a whole lot like Ventura II bottoms. Howard was pursuing legal courses of action. I don't know if it actually ever went to court, but I think my Dad mentioned they were sending communication to Skeeter of some type.

Re: wanted prop for my johnson 150 v6

I've got a 27 SRX or a 26 Yamaha copy (Performance Props from Soddy Daisy, TN). The SRX is in great shape. The 26 Yami copy is in good shape, but has a few nicks. Runs fantastic though. I'd sell either of those for $200.
