We are currently trying to calculate the amount of foam we will need for the core. We will be using Airex 5 lb/ft3 (density) PVC foam core. It comes in 1/2" thickness with sheets of 24" x 42" . How many sheets do you think would be necessary? It seems like the vector's core is narrowe...

1. What type of foam did you use?
2. What thickness and density did you use?
3. Who did you get your foam from.
I am finding it difficult to find good info on foam coring.

Do foam cores have to be kerfed to match the contour of the hull? Or can you just press them into place?
