and as far as the core? I tyhink its going to be hard to tell on the transom... there is a large piece of diamond plate aluminum covering most of the transom... which now thinking about it could be trying to hide something instead of preventative measure...

Any simple ways of checking?? How would a guy check the transom?

I just bought a v-king in great shape with a blown up 150 black max and I have a 25" 175 blackmax. I was wondering if instead of swapping whole motors and then centers and mounts could I just swap powerheads? Would this be easier? What are the odds that this is a fairly thought and trouble free...
