Re: Craigslist Viper in PA
quick update, I took a look at it and apart from some other points to consider I backed off after I saw the tips of wood screws (probably holding the floor) had protruded through the hull and were forming long lines along both sides on the underside of the hull. Send me a PM if you'd like some more ...

Craigslist Viper in PA
The guy is asking $2500, http://binghamton.craigslist.org/boa/3268865462.html has anyone taken a closer look at it by any chance? What makes me wonder is that the transom and core is all original 1981, while the floor was changed 3 years ago. So in all honesty a recore is very likely necessary. What...

Re: Who is running a 4 stroke on their older hydrostreams
Hi guys, thanks for the input. First and foremost it is about fuel economy, I am still dreaming about some day making the grand tour of the great lakes. Fuel economy and distance between refueling does make a whole lot of a difference then. I am constantly in repair mode running a 1964 Mercury 1000 ...

Who is running a 4 stroke on their older hydrostreams
like Viper, V-king or Voyager. The additional weight might seem disadvantageous but today's 4 stroke don't weigh excessively more than the 2 strokes so I am wondering who made the transistion, what are your experiences? Also, anyone having tried 50-90 HP on these boats? There is a rough estimation t...

Re: Odd Battery Behavior??
Hello, if I may add to the numerous very good advice. I see two possible paths for the stated behaviour 1) battery not able to supply high current 2) your connections for 1) advice is given, easiest just check with another battery you know is good (in my case that would be the one used daily in the ...

Re: My Viper is on EBay
Ron, kind of sad it didn't even reach half of the reserve. Makes you wonder what people really are paying for them. IMHO this comes in the same category as Bernie's http://www.screamandfly.com/showthread.php?210256-Hydrostream-Viper-Recored I believe he was asking 4250$, but then it did come with an...

Aha!
those tabs are interesting. Instead of just providing a fixed trim angle, they probably are like the spring and shock arrangement on our cars (can one of you two confirm that?) In their website video they claim it will push the tab down with a certain force (that is why you pick the tab by hull size...
