Re: Vector 115 hp prop set up

I truly appreciate the help. When boat came out of the water last night after being in the water for 2 weeks I noticed the directional adjustable fin located above the prop gone (not there). I have ordered a new one will install and try to find best setting. I guess a 10" jack plate combined wi...

Re: Vector 115 hp prop set up

I've run the boat and it seems you are right in that 10.5" seems like too large of a set back. Porpoising is a little more than ideal. The main problem is safety. it seems that at around 55 to 60 mph it seems to be running straight and true but can suddenly seem to fall off and veer sharply to ...

Re: Vector 115 hp prop set up

The core seems fine. we did did check the hull with a moisture meter. When you say 10" is too much that';s a little disappointing as we already have the hi jacker installed. what happens when you have too much set back? Any solutions or is this really the wrong jack plate? We will be using this...

Vector 115 hp prop set up

I have a refurbished 1975 Vector in super condition. I just bought it and have no experience with small speed boats. It will be towed around like a dinghy behind my older Trojan F44 on Georgian Bay. We just installed a Hijacker brand hydraulic motorized jack plate with 10 inches of set back. I have ...
