Re: 88 vision

Welcome! Sweet looking boat. I personally don't have any experience with a Vision but a few guy here do. Hopefully they will chime in.

Re: Recore question

I'll be honest, I dont remember how I did my Vulture. Its been like 8 years since I redid it. Sadly it still hasnt hit the water. This year though. Re: Recore question

Thats a lot of unnecessary materials. 1708 core 1708 csm (optional) hull Thats all ya need. Use some corebond or cabosil with the resin to make putty to smooth out any sharp edges so the fiberglass lays as smooth and flat as possible to avoid any possible air bubbles/pockets. Re: Recore question

When I did mine, I did a layer of 1.5 oz CSM on the hull, then a layer of 1708, then the core, then a layer of 1708 over the core. Unless you really ground down the hull, no need for all that. Cant say I have heard of Isophthalic resin myself. Everyone typically uses Poly or Epoxy resin.

That thing is looking great! Glad to see you tracked one of them down and able to bring it back to life! Excellent job my friend! Can't wait to see it on the water.
