evinrude 235 hp crossflow lower unit removal/replacement
just a quick question i have a 1985 evinrude v/6 235hp crossflow and a while back i removed the lower unit fussing with the shift linkage . so lost patience and just had the shop put on the new pump and replace the seals. the lower unit has a bobs nose cone with 1 water 5/8 fitting i always thought ...

i dont recomend the hydrolic style there not that dependable after a few years like to loose presure with the heavy v/6 motor get bobs adjustable you will be happy you did. mitchiel

got top rail on prep-etch primered sprayed silver base flake clear coat on rail / windshield is the gell coat black .dont know about the test havent has it out sense instaled. gary

It's a new rail from Hydrostrean in Tracy, CA purchased in 2000. The guy who bought it tried to install and broke the windshield they provided.
