I like the 28 for my Excell, it should be just under 7000 rpm this summer, witch is where the motor seems happy. I would think the 3.3 litre should pull a 30 as you will want to be around 5700? any good prop shop can pitch it up or down two sizes. that prop, and the OMC SRX are the best I have tried...

tried, and it blew out LOL, the big solas would not blow out, even at 1.5 above, just did not go any faster,weight distribution and trim are very sensetive. Last run of the season this year two weeks ago, good conditions, cool weather little chop, 87mph @6600rpm with 12" setback and a 28p mazco re4. going to move the front seats back a bit and some weight around as well as blueprint the rear section of the hull next spring, 90 might be doable with ...

i ran yesterday, 12" setback 1" above with a 14.5" 28p mazco re4 87mph at 6600 rpm. best speed to date with my ae. still want to try a 14.5" 30p cleaver.
