Re: Vector rebuild help

So do you think I should use CSM for the first layer in the hull before the Balsa then put the 1708 over the Balsa? I have some 1 1/2 CSM and the 1708, but I can order whatever I need . Should I glass in the stringers and let them dry then come back and grind and smooth up any rough places and apply...

Need help with capacity plate

I'm having a replacement capacity plate made for my Vector, the original was missing when I got the boat. I found a picture of one but I can't read the bottom left corner . Can somebody look at theirs and see if it says W.E. Pipkorn industries ? That's what it looks like it says but I thought Mr. Pi...

Vector rear seat ideas

I'm gathering up everything for my Vector rebuild. Front bucket seats seem easy to find but what is everybody using for a rear bench seat? I've seen some pontoon bench seats but nothing very sporty looking. Any ideas? [ Post made via iPhone ] http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/images/mobile/iPhone.png

Re: Vector rebuild help

Makes perfect sense. I have work with the regular mat a good bit over the years. I've been in the body shop business since 1989. About 10 of those years in a heavy truck shop and we did a good bit of fiberglass repairs. I just want to make sure this boat is done properly, I only want to do it once. ...

Re: Vector rebuild help

With the 1708 does the chopped strand side go down and the cloth side up? Would I be better off to use regular chopped strand mat to cover the floor and to do some splashwell repairs?

Replacement rub rail and windshield

I know this has been asked many times but I'm looking for some too. Does anyone still make the black rubber rub rail that fits over the factory aluminum rail? What about a replacement Vector windshield ? I thought about bonding the top deck to the hull and filling the rivet holes and just use some o...

Re: Vector rebuild help

Would moving the fuel tank and battery up front help any or would the changing weight of the tank as it gets low make it worse?
