Re: fuel Level

Does it ever read full? ...sounds like the sending unit. Remove it, hook the wiring back (away from any fumes), and see what the gauge reads as you travel the float (assuming it's the older float style). If all works, the sending unit needs adjusting which probably means bending the float arm down. ...

Re: Floor and stringer question

As I understand. the Hydrostream factory changed the floor height. Taller stringers gave the most flat floor space, lower stringers made the floor attach to the inside of the v-bottom.(lower center of gravity). btw It's a good idea to plan you fuel cell placement before you make the stringers. ...

Re: Floor and stringer question

Welcome and here's a link that will benefit you. It's YDOC's bulletproof rebuild. http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=909&start=60 Yes, transom knees (braces) are very desirable, although not factory. The floor will attach to the stringers, and on a boat like a Vector ...

Re: Rare Canadian Edition AE21 I/O prototype

Welcome to the forum. At first I doubted the history of this boat, but check out this article I found through this site. :) http://www.hydrostream.org/Reports/PBAE21IO.jpg btw, be careful moving it. (The boat is very weak: no wood, no transom, no motor cover, and the trailer is too short and has nev...

Well I guess I lose. I said under 50 mph. He said he ran 61. I still have my doubts (btw it was bolted low on the transom).

Quickly

I'm arguing with me crazy uncle. So how fast would a 1980 merc 225 (1.87 gears) @ 6000rpm with a 19 inch stainless (quicksilver) push 19 ft Baha?

How about a 23 Inch Quicksilver?

Thanks in advance. I'll let y'all know who wins. :D

Re: Bilge/Well Area

Welcome, fellow Texan, I hope you're aren't disillusioned with your boat. Fact is, most people have to pay a lot of dues to own a safe Stream. The idea of a rebuild can can be intimidating, but it's not complicated. Labor intensive... yes. Anyway, if you have to do a lot of work on it, you can consi...

Re: 1979 Hydrostream V-king project **SOLD**

Hey, welcome to the forum. You write a good ad, and the price seems good too. Pictures, detailed pictured showing the good and bad will motivate folks more than anything else I can think of. If you want, consider selling the old motor separately. A lot of people will shun the 35 yr old OMC. It'll be...

Re: Help Please with my Vector ID #

...might be a misprint. My title says that my Vegas is really a Vantage, Does the HIN on the transom match?

I guess it could be a moment of dyslexia at the factory too.

Here's the decode link from this website ... http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/decodehin
