Re: mods for gt 150
I picked up a 200 for back up and did a few things to it and then modded my 150 to the stock specs of the 200 and then did more. The scallopes are cuts in the block under the intake ports, like half circles, and match that to the pistons. I get a pic up soon of what I'm talking about. [ Post made vi...

Re: mods for gt 150
Well the few mods I did to mine were scalloped the positions and block, raised the exhaust ports to 200 specs, matched the front half of the block to the back half of the block, and cleaned up the intake.

Re: 1978 Vandal Project
I recommend a 2.5 inch jack plate. Bobs machining makes one that can be either a 2.5 in set back or 5 in set back. They also make an exhaust snout that bolts on to the mid that works good or 2 2 in holes under the cavitation plate on the lower unit works too. [ Post made via Android ] http://www.hyd...

Re: 1978 Vandal Project
I am running a 16 inch mid. I thought it would help reduce the weight of the v6 hanging off the back. I rand a 20 inch mid with my v4 and I got it level with the pad. Its a horse a piece. What jackplate are you planning on running? [ Post made via Android ] http://www.hydrostreamforums.com/images/mo...

Re: 1978 Vandal Project
Well I suggest going with a looper. I went with a crossflow and maxed it out at mid 80's but I know a guy running a looper at closer to 90 on a heavier Ventura II and he is still running on pump gas. And for the floor I would just run a regular floor. I went with the stringer set up and all said and...

Re: 1978 Vandal Project
Are you thinking v4 looper or v4 crossflow? And I have a really good guy that shortens mid sections. And are you planning on having exposed stringers or a floor over the stringers? And are you using this just for drag racing or all around use? [ Post made via Android ] http://www.hydrostreamforums.c...
