I wouldn't try changing setup unless there was something seriously wrong. The fastest setup is usually very close to the safest setup. Find someone in your area that is experienced and let them take you out for a drive, will probably be your best learning experience. And it's Hydro Tech, not Eco tec...

Looks sharp! That jackplate looks like an old land n sea, have you checked the nylon bushings on the slides? They're nla, so hopefully yours are in good shape.
