Chuck Goodman's nitrox system

Post: # 5475Post 77viper »

Hippie feel free to move this.

I was looking for a power adder that I could easily switch on and off so that I could race in 2 classes in our club and after some research I opted for nitrous. I have never ran nitrous before and had little understanding of how it works so I knew I needed a kit and Chuck's seamed to be the best from what I heard. I called them twice asking stupid questions then finally went and ordered it, well actually sent my intake down to have the nozzles installed. I received the intake back in a big box with everything I needed to install the system.

I went with the 130 hp kit and will be using methanol as a enrichment.

The kit comes with a 3 gal fuel tank with a selector valve to "wash down" the methanol.

From there it goes to a holly blue pump with a billet regulator witch has a pressure switch that cuts the nitrous feed if fuel pressure is lost.

These are the solenoids for the fuel and n20.

Here is the intake they don't run jets but rather different size holes drilled into the tubes to meter everything.

I switched some stuff around from the instructions and ran my own switches and used relays so I can run a kill switch with my fuel pump as well as my ignition kill switch.

All and all it took about 4 hours to get the system in and another couple hours to make it look good. I need a after picture but here is the mess.

You're starting to scare me, man. Is my math right? 350 hp on a Viper? :majesty:

I'm using 200 fishing blocks so it's only 330 hp, and that's with the jetting spot on.

I was told not to bring a knife to a gun fight. :o
