Hydraulic Jackplate Which One ?

Post: # 8257Post Alexjoz »

First of all thanks for all the help with my last thread ! I have an 88 V-King YT. 88 Black Max 175. II am looking at Hydraulic Jack Plates. TH Marina and Bob's are in the front running. I like the self-contained TH unit, conversely, Bob's units are spoken of highly. I'm thinking a 6" back-set. ????
Any help will be greatly appreciate!!
Oh, got a DAH 27p blueprinted prop for Xmas!

I love my srx, I'm going to be looking for a 29 soon.

As far as brand of JP I don't have a favorite a lot of the rangers come with Bobs from the factory and we don't see any problems with them. I'm guessing a little but I think I would go 8" setback, my thinking is the yt is a little heavier than a v so the extra setback might be beneficial.

I'm going to go with the TH Marine Jack Plate. Atlas. I'm not looking for a racing set-up and will probably go with a 4" or 6" setback. Time for a Hot Foot Too ! Summer can't come fast enough!

Ive heard good things about Atlas. The self contained pump system is getting allot of good feed back.
