Here are my new (to me anyways) seats for my boat. Came home from work on Friday wit them sitting on the porch. They are not the best but I really like them and they are much much better then the ones I have now and will work perfect until I can get my originals recovered.

My little guy just going over them. He loved them so I more then got his approval.

Huge thanks to Steve (triumph3434) for these.

As 2 or 3 of you know, I had a HUGE HUGE set back with the boat and after talking to Scott (AFR) today, I think the boat will be going in a whole new direction and rot will be a thing of the past!

I will fill everyone in that doesnt know very soon as I try to get this all figured out. All I have to say, After all the work I am going to have into this boat, I am NEVER letting this one go EVER! LoL

BTW< speaking of seats, I got the boat on the water a few days ago, and as you know I had just put the new seats in. I guess not well enough.. at one point my wife was in the seat next to me holding the 3 year old, I gunned it, and the bolts just pulled out of the floor and she and the kid went over backwards. It was pretty funny. Lesson learned, Lag bolts are not enough. So, I found these cool Anchors that are attached to a Zip tie mechanism. You drill the hole, slide it in sideways, then flip it with the Zip tie handle so its flat against the board. Then you slide the zip holder down to hold it in place against the board. Now you have a Three inch metal anchor under the floor boards that you just bolt right into. Very Cool.

So Hip, since you have not posted what the huge setback that made you want to change to synthetic materials was...may I take a guess....never got the core covered and the boat got filled with water?

I have been talking with a few people on my options and looks like I am still in good shape. Hopefully in the next 2 or 3 weeks I will be getting some of the last supplies and I am gonna see if I cant get a floor in this thing.
