It's an aftermarket one with a toggle type switch so none of them pictured will work. That round merc/mariner/Force one might. I'll look at it more when I get home. Thanks.

I think so. If the toggle is"up" with the oval loop from the lanyard around it, pulling it should flip the switch down and kill the engine.
Wondering if you could just fabricate your own that might work.

Here's one that looks more like yours.

You are correct. With the switch up it is open therefor in the run position and with it down, it will be in the closed position therefor killing the motor. That is a good idea about making something and thinking that is the route I am going to go. I have plenty of stuff around here that should work, just need to buy the lanyard cable.

I was going to buy a whole new kill switch set up but everything I found seems to have different mounting then what I have and I really dont want to drill new holes in my dash if I dont have too so I never did.

Thank you for the idea on making something and I have a clear idea how im going to do it now. Pretty sure without this place, I would still be scratching my head for a bit. haha

Even a piece of narrow chain link would do the trick. Just need to find a size that fits.

Just dremel off a link, attach a lanyard, and bingo.

Wow..Those Black gauge bezels are going to look good on that white dash!
You think you might get the Vulture wet before winter sets in?
That would be really cool...

I really wish I would but the weather has not been on my side when I do have time to work on it and I have a few things to do yet that wont get me there before then. Steering being the biggest thing. Need to get new cables as mine are super stiff. They were frozen but I got em broke free but they are no where close to easy to move. That and I have to modify the seats I am going to be using just a little. Spring time things will be a go for sure though. Then I can save up for the last few pieces I need to get it done. If I had a garage here at my house, things would be a completely different story. Then I could work on it no matter the weather. lol

I am hoping to have all the gauges back in the boat and the steering wheel back on next weekend though. Then I am going to start planning/laying out my fuse/relay panel I am going to be using for everything. Hopefully...

Well, the weather has been against me for what seems like ages this summer and now its getting cold out and I have no where warm to work on it this winter so it has officially been wrapped up tight for the winter and no more work until spring time. Im going to try and get a fuse/relay panel made up though and im going to hopefully get the seats I have ready so come spring time most everything will be ready. Its so close its driving me crazy.

I do need new steering cables so if anyone happens to know of any dual 18 foot teleflex cables let me know. I will buy new but at close to $500, I would gladly buy a used set if they are in good working order. Mine are stiff as crap and im not going to try and waste my time freeing them up more. Safety first!!!

Well, maybe since you have some time......have you considered going liquid steering? No more corroded cables to worry with, and ZERO torque steer.
If you have to spend $500 for new cables....... ;)

Jus sayin...
