I think 3" over what is in it now will look fine. It will still be below the top of the deck/windshield line like stated above. It is also shorter than the old school back to back seats.

My thought exactly. Other than the height, the dimensions are pretty much on point to what the original seats I have for it are. And being on a very tight budget to get this thing on the water by late spring is another factor considering the price and being able to be into them for like $300 all in for both seats and covers, with free shipping.

That kinda hurts. :(

Being on a timeline and budget is a tough one! But it sounds like these are a decent solution.

Hope it makes it on the water this year. I hope for mine to be done before Independence Day, took two weeks off work for that.

Shots fired! HaHa Then again after this last summer, you would think we pretty much skipped and went from spring right to fall. I only had the AC on in the house maybe for 10 days in total all summer cause it never got all that hot out.

I have some semi truck/business expenses coming up so just having to plan my money out right for a few months. I could get it done later easily but I want to get the boat up and going as soon as possible. I have a big family reunion in early July in Aitkin with my dads side of my family who I havent seen a lot of them in 15+ years and I want to take the boat with so that is my goal!

Well, got a little bit of an update...

A TON of parts have been showing up in the mail the past 2 weeks or so and a lot more are still on there way. Time to really put this plan into high gear so watch for a lot of updates in the next couple weeks.

No pics of this but I did manage to get pivot shaft out of the clamp on the motor and put the 2nd steering cable tube put in, and then I had to run a tap into the clamp for the pivot shaft on both sides for the grease zerks and they were FULL of solid hard grease, and missing the grease zerks. But got them cleaned out, new pivot shaft bushings in, new grease zerks in, and got the whole thing greased up. This motor looks like its had a rough life at one time but I'm gonna send it! Next to do is build the trim pump relays box. Building it from scratch. Dont worry, I'll post pictures, and diagram(s).

Here I got bored and made a few decals for the dash.

Picked up some resin filler from the guys at Express Composites and went to town on the spashwell and transom area. Not the greatest most interesting pics but you get the idea. This is after the second round of filler. The one corner I had to build up pretty good. Hopefully by next weekend there should be some paint on the back to make it not looks so trashy then the jack plate can go on.

I did put down a bunch of filler, sanded until my arms hurt (This stuff dries ROCK hard so its like trying to sand a rock), then laid down a bunch more filler. Its only temporary so I can go boating this year. Hopefully I can save up for a new paint job for next year.

Got some more done today. Officially has a 40 foot paint job on the spashwell delete and transom finally. Looks great from 40 feet. but 4 feet, its questionable but more than good enough to get it on the water.

Here is the only good picture I have of the before. Its not the entire area that I worked on.
