Well, Merry Christmas to me!!! HUGE thank you to James (Streamer). Looks like one piece of the puzzle has shown up today. Got the SeaStar hydraulic ram today and I will put it to good use!

Its supposed to be pretty nice out this weekend. Might unwrap the boat and start drilling out all the rivets for rub rail that someone put on since I have all new stuff that will be going on. And man did they go crazy with the rivets. No its not the stock rub rail. Also, might start sanding on the back and fill in the holes in the transom so I can get that painted soon. Fingers crossed on getting work done on it.

:)

Lucky for you. The weather here in Toronto has been absolute crap for the past 2 weeks. Its been raining non-stop since Wednesday. I had plans to get up to the farm to start building my jig and rotisserie. But all I can do today is deliver the lumber I need and tarp it til I have a dry Saturday/Sunday.

Oh I know how that goes. Its been non stop rain here for what seems like weeks and the temps and have been 70 deg F one day, then 40 deg F the next. We have had so much rain my pond in my back yard is creeping up to my house. It hasnt been this full and flooded in about 7 years. You cant see it in the picture but there is standing water right up to the green grass line and normally, the tall trees along the pond, from there up to the house is dry but not this year. lol

Ill try to find a link to the same/similar stuff. Its a very low profile rub rail that I had gotten from another member on here some time back. I thought I had a picture of it in this topic but I either missed it or never posted it. I'll grab a picture tomorrow though of it so you can get an idea.

Is it a complete replacement or.does it go over existing? If you could take a bunch of pictures when you do it to would be awesome, there is almost no info on the sites about replacing rubrail.

Complete replacement. The original rub rail was removed by the previous owner and replaced with a two piece rub rail. A plastic mounting trim that was riveted to the deck and a rubber rail snapped over it. Sadly somewhere along the way the rubber outer part was removed or something. If you go through this build post you might be able to see what is on there now. Looks like poo and can't wait to drill out a boat load of rivets. LoL
