Here is the one I have (6 inch) - Hub Extension

They offer a 2 inch, 4 inch, and a 6"

My seats were also moved back about 8 inches from factory location and will be put back that way. The joys of being 6' 2".

Hope that helps.

Thanks Guys for the info on the steering extension. Here are a few pic. of were I am at now. I am thinking of mounting the gas pedal were you see it in the pic. That means I will be using my left foot but thats not really a problem as I have had other boats that were set up that way. If anybody has a better idea please let me know. Also in the pic. you can see I have a old seat just placed there to get an idea of were everything is going. I like sitting low in the boat so I will not be building a seat box, I am thinking of just another layer of 1/2 plywood on top of the floor just big enough for the seats and screwing them to that. Not sure yet, just thinking out loud.

As far as no seat box, I will not be building any type of box or pedestal either. just going to go with 1 or 2 pieces of 1/2 for a seat base.

Also, just build a little pedestal for your hot for to move it up and to the right more. I will post a pic of how mine was done and will be going back in when I get home tonight.

looking awesome!

Ok, I found a little better picture of how my Hot foot was in there and how it will be going back so I can drive with my right foot and not my left. Maybe being a truck driver I rely on my left to much as the clutch and I know I cant opperate the throttle worth a darn with my left foot. I know, I have done it before. lol

Hope that helps a little more.

Here is the way I am going to close up the well in the back. I cut out the shape and set the saw on the same angle as the original splash well. So when I lay the wood on top it kinda locks it self in place. Still got some fine tuning to do but its getting there. I cant belive I am working with wood as well as I am now. I had to get my brother in law to help me in the beginning of this project because I could not cut a straight line to save my life. Now I learned, measure 5 times and have 2 pieces of wood handy. The frist one for the mistake, lol.
Russ I will not have this ready for the summer meet. It will still need to be painted and I will not have the time this year to do it. I will get it in the water but the outside will not be in any shape to be hanging out at meets this year.

Well its almost done, I have finished the floor. It kinda sucks having to cover up all the work and the cool looking balsa but its done. Now I have to install the splash well and do some rigging and Im in the water for this year. I do have a few ques. Before I install the splash well I know I have to rough up the gell coat that I will be glassing it to but how far do I have to go? Can I get away with just roughing it up really good or do I have to go all the way to the old glass? Hippie here is a pic. of the way I cut the new splash well, toward's the front I put the jig saw on the same angle as the old well and the sides I put it straigh then I just sanded it to a smooth transition. Also there are some pic. of the old angle plates that were rotted. I replaced them with new ones, and did away with the vacume tube's for now. In the pic. you can see that I painted under the floor with a epoxy white paint, it almost looks like there is a light on in the bilge. I will be painting the rest of the inside when I figure what color I want to use.
