Re: Viper rebuild
Made a paste mixture of my 3 favorite building ingredients and spread between the hull and deck.

Re: Viper rebuild
Threw a full arsenal of clamps at it. Once it cures, the inside radius will get glassed together for a secure, watertight bond.

Re: Viper rebuild
Ron, with a 20" v6 Merc. hangin high on the transom, not sure the low center of gravity of a laydown cockpit would be very helpful. But hey, I'll be driving from a seat instead of on my knees...lol. Hope your doing well my friend!

Re: Viper rebuild
And here I thought that most of the hard stuff was done. Do not envy those that do their recore with the deck attached. Started to glass the inside radius of the hull/deck. Glassing in a smaller radius of mat first, followed by a 3" piece. Should be very stout and watertight.

Re: Viper rebuild
Now that the deck is reunited with the hull, it was time to get it off the jig. When the jig was built, it was screwed together so that it could be easily disassembled/reassembled. It is available for anyone that may be interested in it for their recore project. It is currently in the Indianapolis area and will soon be in southeastern Michigan. If it doesn't get spoken for, it will become shelving.
