What do you guys think about replacing the core with 2 ounce csm and going over that with a thick woven roven something like 8 to 10 ounce cloth to get rid of all wood except for floor and transom

Other boat builders can get away with this layup schedule because the hull skin is much thicker to carry the loading between the stringers.
Ready,.... ok,.... here we go.......However,.... Performance hulls are much lighter to perform well.
Take a 1/2" thick piece of fiberglass material like in a old hunting bow, while somewhat stiff, it still flexes.
Now take two 1/8" fiberglass skins and seperate them1/2" with a core material. Kinda like a surf board. MUCH more rigid while only using a total of 1/4" of fiberglass.
The further you seperate the two skins, the more rigid the panel is. The panel will only flex if a) the skin tears or b) the core material collapses.
Boston Whalers use this theory in their design. Two thin fiberglass skins seperated by 8# density foam.
