Well, I took the plunge. After 30 some odd years I finally got my dream boat. I have absolutely obsessed about these boats since the 80's as a teenager. I recently purchased a 1985 Vulture here in Ontario. It definitely needs work, but I think I have a great starting point. I hope anyways. I expect to conduct a full restoration. The Forum is an amazing source of information on this subject. Thanks to all you for posting your efforts and experience. I'm not sure when this project will begin, but I'm looking forward to starting as soon as I can. As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures I will do so.
Let the fun begin!

I'm hoping a 225 Mercury when the time (and funds allow) comes. My cottage is north of Bancroft Ontario on Mink Lake. That's where it will spend most of it's time, but I grew up watching these boats on Rice Lake, so I may have to take it on it's first run there. For memory sake.

Well, I finally made enough room in the garage to get her in. I guess the "project" has officially begun.
Does anyone have suggestions for supporting the hull and what is the best way to do it? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

First, get rid of the rollers on the trailer. Very bad for the bottom of the boat and no real support and can actually leave dents in the hull over time from the rollers. Then put bunks on it before anything to get good support. I did my core and stuff right on the trailer. Of course it has bunks.

And don't forget to post plenty of pictures cause we all love pictures.
