76 vector restore
76 vector restore
First time putting in Lake Norman N.C. First time putting in Lake Norman N.C. Always check to make sure previous owner properly bolted motor on. While making high speed run on Lake Wateree S.C. the motor found a new home on the lake bottom. Looks like a few different motors have been bolted on . The transom is the only part that isn't rotten.

Gotta go look at a job , will post more later Hull doesn't look to bad from here. now we can see the scratches. The hook is visable if you look hard. This side not scratched much. The trailer did not support the boat well. The bunks ended a foot before the transom.

No , figured after hitting water WOT not much was worth saving. Nice stainless wheel And gear case. Maybe not worth trouble. I am not sure but I think this crack came from a hard landing . It doesn't take a slam to crack a hull with bAd core. Prior repair could have used better materials, looks like a quick fix. This crack was given to me by my drunk buddy loading onto trailer at Lake Wylie S.C. Thanks Mike! Well can't be mad , if the core was solid it wouldn't have cracked. I think the factory did a good job keeping transom protected from rot. Under the top deck glass the wood has a good coat of glass over transom. Thinking about center steer . Got alot of work to do before thinking too much..

Re: 76 vector restore
That sucks, the boat looks good.
I kind of wish I had a vector rather than my viper I like the bow of the vector better.

Love em. The lines of the streams back then are awsome. They are going 100 sitting still.

Re: 76 vector restore
The viper looks great don't get me wrong but if I had a complaint it would be the bow. It just looks funny.
