Looks like its going to be close to 70 deg here today so I am going to go work on getting alot of old wiring out of this thing and junk that back seat and star thinking of a new design for a back seat. The frame looks like its seen a better day so its outta there. I will post a few pictures along they way hopefully.

Also, moved this to the WIP section.

After about a few hours of work today I managed to get the back seat out and that thing was completely rotten. It was just sitting in there so that was super easy to get out. Just lift and toss.

Next I drained about 4-5 gallons of what looked and smelled like paint thinner out of the gas tank and that got that outta there.

Next I started removing all the wiring and so far I am half way done with that. I will continue taking the rest out in the next day or so but got most of the big stuff out.

Well, here is what I started with.

All that wiring kind of scares me. :o Time for all new stuff!

Here is half of the wiring I pulled out of it. Alot more to go yet.

Here it is with the back seat and gas tank and all the wiring out and all cleaned up.

Dont worry, This winter the major makeover gets done. Just putting in the water this summer to get it out of my system. :boating:

Got word also that I have my motor. Its a 175 Evenrude with a brand new powerhead. Just needs a powerpack and its ready to go. Hope there not to spendy. :? I will have more details on the motor once I get all the specs. Its off my uncles old Glastron and I dont know a whole lot about it yet.

Until next time...

225 would be the right power for that boat. Hows the transom and core?

Yes the 225 would be the better choice but I just cant seem to get the guy to part with it so its a 175 for now. Next summer I will be on the hunt for bigger power.

The previous owner (hotrodtodd) said they are good and looks like someone might have done some work at one time but from what I can tell just by the mallet test and stuff its sounds ok but we know how these streams really are so for now I am going to get it water ready and take it easy then when winter rolls around it will time for a new life. :)
