Post: # 401Post 77viper »

I started this this past winter but as the overtime and sidework mounts the hydrostream time is diminished

The core came out easy as it was all rotted. The boat sat bow down in a farmers pasture for 3 years but at least I got it dirt cheap.

Nice! I would love to do my vulture in the old school blue metal flake but I will be limited to paint due to cost. :)

Cant wait to follow this one along. :boating:

I'm so far behind on side jobs and now we are working 12 hour days I had to move the boat to another garage, I haven't worked on it for 2 monthes. I'm thinking of paying someone to finish it.

I cut out the splash well to get at the transome.

I was able to split the plywood to get most of the wood out.

All sanded and ready for marine plywood. I guess I don't have a good picture.

Almost all cleaned up and ready to go. I used about 10 36 grit sanding disks on a 4 1/2" grinder to clean up all the old core and stuff under it.

Lookin good! Glad my transoms good. Were your stringers on top of the original core or sunk into chop to the hull and core around them? I'm still undecided which way to go. Mine had core on either sides of them and were sunk into chop to the bottom of the pad.

My stringers were on top of the core and that's how I'm going to do it. That is once I get back to it. Well at least the vagas will be home soon.
