I bought those from rex marine. they come with the billet peices with 2 inch hoses about 65 bucks I think

fired her off today!! started right up after i had to replum the fuel lines.

idle is high around 1800. any tips? i dont want to screw the timing up.
gauges are working except for the trim. tested the gauge it seemed ok. any other troubleshooting tips??

Did you check the trim sender for loose wires. You've got to be getting anxious to put her in the water( I know I would be) the boat looks amazing

Run a jumper wire from the ground to the sender at the back of the gauge, it should peg full up if not it's your gauge. If it pegs do the same back at the sender, ground the sender wire that will eliminate the wiring, replace the sender.

Check to make sure you don't have any air leaks and the throttle plates are closing fully if that's good back off the idle timing.

wired normally, the gauges reads all the way up. i ran a jumper from sender post to ground and the gauge pegged down. ill try doing it at the sender tomorrow.

i had the carbs open today, plates are closing good. how do i adjust idle timing? will i mess up the timing?

man once i got her to crank i spent the day in the drive way with the motor in the bucket neighbors were probably saying "dammit i guess this is what we gotta listen to now"
