I would like to do some type of accent but try to keep the gell the way it is. It just looks to plane the way it is.

I haven't had the boat in the water yet. How are these to ski hehind?

I'm so far behind on my viper. I wanted to have it done by now, but I 'll be lucky to have it done this summer.

Well I snuck the vegas out today  .

I got cought up in the moment and overlooked something critical. I was just looking at the motor and hull and that was all fine but I never looked at the steering system, might have been since I thought I would have the hydrollic in when I took it out but thats more of an excuse for being a idiot, I mean I do this stuff for a living but I half assed my own stuff.

I was lucky and as soon as it came off the trailer it wouldn't steer. One of the cables was split open :o under the dash. So since I was already out in the water and a buddy had the truck in the lot I was stuck there. I ended up just pulling the one cable out and running with just one so I did cruse with it but no testing.

It' running a merc high 5 25 pitch prop with the engine bolted to the transome I did run it up to 60 and it had great acceleration. I must admit it was a good feeling thinking your probubly the fastest boat on the local lake . I can't wait to get it set up so I can let it fly but it will sit untill then. :boating:

Very nice. :D Looks like ya have fun even with the little steering issue.

Yeah, The rails/bars on the deck need to go. Just doesnt look right with them on there.

What kind of speeds you thinking once you get the steering fixed so you can give its all?

It's still not mine so I had to take it back today and I still can't add any parts or take the rails off.

We hit 63.8 but I wasn't looking at the tach but it was pulling quick so I would say 70 should be easy with this setup but I'm gunning for 80 with a better prop and a jackplate.
I need to learn to drive the thing first, it's a lot different than the rangers and stratos bass boats I'm used to. It just feels so much lighter then again it is.

Thanks

The lwp is on it's way, should be on by the weekend.

If you want to sell your windshield I might be interested. I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Well the day is tomorrow, I will find out if I get to keep the boat. I realized I put way too many parts and time into it. I will have to leave the jackplate and hydrolic steering in it as well as some other parts I didn't get to remove. I just found out tonight one of the lean holders is coming to look at it. I had to reinstall the oil pump and hand throttle and a bunch of other stuff.

I will be taking it down a lot of gravel roads to make it look as undesirable as I can. I will post more tomorrow on the back story.
