Make: Hydrostream
Model: Viper
Year: 1973
Additional Info:

I've decided to sell my "labor of love" Viper to help pay for the Virage restoration.

After talking with Bob Garone (Marine 2000) this morning, it was recomended to sell as a hull on trailer.

I may consider leaving the seastar pro, and 2.5 200 on the boat but "it'll cost ya" as I would have to turn around and replace.

You can see detailed pictures of the rebuild http://www.screamandfly.com/showthread.php?199085-Yet-another-Viper-rebuild&highlight=

NOTHING to hide here!! . With the cost of a recore, paint job, and full interior, I think I priced very fair.

We will be driving from Washington to Minn/ st paul May 5th to pick up the Virage and could drop off along the way only if paid in full in advance.

Here's the breakdown:

Hull on trailer with full interior, gauges, foot throttle, 16 gal aluminum tank, bilge pump, jack plate (CMC hydrolic), . $4300.00

Same as above with steering and blinker style trim. $5400.00

Turn key. $9800.00

Motor is a 2.5L 200 carb with Tony Dukas reeds, solid mounts, Bobs LWP, HP cowl. All the steering hoses and jack plate wires are run inside the rigging hoses for a CLEAN look.

It truly is beautiful.......beautiful enough to take to a car show and bring home a trophy. (which I will throw in)

Now that I'm committed to the "last Virage" , I need to get rid of a boat. (Don't need three). The sale of just the hull and trailer will pay for a new interior, and all the materials to recore the Virage.

I was told it was a bicentennial that was regelcoated. I was also told it was a 1976. However,.... it IS a 1973 hull and was NOT a bicentennial.

I kept a close eye on the restoration thread over at S&F and not a corner was cut or an expense spared on this thing. Heck, he even had his wife laying glass on this thing. Some one is going to be stealing this thing from you. Good luck with the sale. Wish I had the $$ to buy it but I have to finish my Vulture first. This is truly a piece of art here.

:vking:

EDIT: I just noticed how you used the gauge pods up on the dash there. I really like that. Cant believe I missed that. They easier to see there?

Yeah, He is buying the very last Virage that was ever made that Howard had hiding in his barn and needs the money to fund this one off/one of a kind boat. I hear it has a special bottom on it too. He will let us know Im sure.
