Since the recent changes with Photobucket and some other changes on the web sites back end over time, I have enabled direct uploading to the site so you no longer have to rely on 3rd part image hosting sites for your avatar. Just go to your user control panel and under the Profile tab, select 'edit avatar' and in the drop down, select 'upload avatar'.
