fairmont race

Post: # 10742Post 77viper »

This weekend started fairly interesting with me switching out my trim ram and pump again, this time to a three wire system so I could add 24 volt up to try and clean up my holeshot. That part went ok, I finished late Thursday night but was able to make a couple test passes Friday before night so I was ready for the race on Saturday. It was a little chilly on sat morning as we headed to the lake and I was worried about bottle pressure so I picked up some back heat patches to try and help. Once I got to the lake I saw that was going to be the least of my problems, there was a 17mph side wind that was coming across the lake creating white caps at times. This was some of the roughest water I have been in with this boat but it actually handled it well once I got used to being in the air a lot. I ended up taking second place to a BB jet boat in the 85 mph class and another first in the 95 mph class. After that class sh*t hit the fan when my starting batt died and I was left to fend for myself bashing against a pontoon then dock until I could get it to shore to hold the thing.

Someone forgot to bring the finish line video camera  but I do have over 700 pictures from Tim.

Those three were in order at the finish line in the 95 mph class.

This was scary as heck I was at the start lie and all we could see was a huge splash then no Robbert, I had my boat started and was on my way to the finish line to help out until I saw his boat again.

I knew the guy was odd but WOW. He has gone into his rants before, actually after the last three races he has attended then is just one of the guys come race day. Well Fairmont was his last race day with us he can start the Prestige Worldwide Elite Boat Racing Club. Any pictures of him or his Nitro mysteriously got deleted on about tuesday.
