New Boat owner

I love my new 1987 Hydrostrem V King. I have wanted this boat since I was a little boy. My father and uncle used to race these boats back in the 80's in Jersey. They were so freaking cool to this little boy. I wanted one sooooooo bad. My wife just bought me one for my birthday. She let the family and I drive 13 hours to and from Kansas City to Minnestoa in one day to bring home my new toy. Then we took it to the lake for one week on Vacation. Man I love my new boat. I got a lot of seat time and got all of my girls out on the water. That was the best Vacation ever. I Love my Wife and my Hydrostream

If that's the one that was for sale a while back that was used in the brochures, I can almost bet it will need a core in it. I dont mean to be the bad news guy but by looking at your avatar it looks like the one I speak of. Sweet looking boat for sure though but I would really check that core out before something bad happens.

I bought it from a guy in St Paul Minnesota. Supposedly it sat in the rafter storage and then soild new in 1996. In 1987 supposedly the Canada maker broke the Hydrostream contract and started building tunnel hulls instead. This the story i got. The gel coat is beautiful. The floor, transom are solid. How do i check the core under the floor without taking floor up. Now you got me worried. This thing runs like a dream.
