Ok, so its a year old. HS made a bass boat top for several hulls; Vector/Varmint, Virage/Hooker, and this one in the 20' XT--Venus/Vulture/Voyager and this one derived from the Vegas. I like the XT hull but have not driven a Vantage. It has to drive like a Vegas--which is pretty good. Good rough water, good speed.

This is the same guy who's been trying to sell this on Kijiji claiming that it's only 1 of 3 Vantage XT hulls ever built.
Asked for proof that only 3 were made....crickets.

Estimate on how many Vantages were made? Never seen a Vantage. I've seen several Varmints and a Hooker. I think her name was Sue...

Vantage could be a Voyager mold?

I saw a Vegas XT IO one time. He was headed in the opposite direction at Tablerock. I thought--that sure looks like a Hydrostream but then noticed no outboard--IO. As he passed I realized it was indeed a Vegas---real head scratcher. Only IO Hydrostream I've ever seen.

The Vantage isn't very common but a heck of a lot more that 3 were ever produced. Like WAY more than 3. To be honest, I don't think hydrostream kept any sort of build numbers for boats. Not by way of the HIN anyways. I'm sure they had records in house when they were still in operation.

As for the IO, there was a few hulls that were available with an IO, the Vegas betting one of them. Don't think a lot of them were made though. I have seen two myself but that's it and neither of them in person.

Pretty sure that IO Vegas I saw was a v8--moving pretty good. I heard second hand that the IO's were a production nightmare...cluster.

So, Vantages 30+ ish?. There seems to be a pretty fair amount of Varmints.

Not many Hookers were made. As for the Vantage, hard to say how many were made. Could be 60, could be 600. I think 1985 was the first year for the the Vantage and they were built all the way up to the end in 90/91 if im not mistaken. The Hooker was only built for one or two years. 90 and 91.

That Hooker went 62-64ish with a 175 Yamaha. A little slow for that HP. Could have been motor or hull needed work. Should at least be in 70's with that Virage bottom I would think. We tried several props. Had to look twice with that stripe pattern to notice it was a Hydrostream.
