Welcome to the site.

If you're not familiar with buying a hydrostream, go into it assuming it needs a new core. 90% of hydrostreams need cores, There is a mid 80's viper that has never been rigged or in the water and the core was rotten as well as many garage kept boats. Even in the late 80's the yt hulls have a problem from when they were manufactured that causes the cores to get wet.

I just hate seeing someone spend a lot of money on beautiful hull only to find it needs a core. I have found some great deals on older boats knowing it needs to be done and after it is very rewording to look at what I have accomplished.

Good luck with your search.

Welcome to the site! Always good to bring another one into the group and add to the lunacy.

'Streams are super fun boats for sure but make sure you do some reading and educate yourself prior to a purchase so you don't end up joining the "itchy-n-scratchy" club like most of us around here! Best of luck!!

Jeff

EDIT: Chet!!! STOP READING MY MIND!!! Its like you're in my head!! LoL

A factory core job is a breeze if you ask me! If you haven't done a core rip out like mine, you ain't got nothing on me. And to think a am not even done tearing it out yet and I feel like I have a solid 40 hours into it already.

Factory core is easy but like they say, itchy as ever but so worth it in the end.

Welcome to the site. the best way to find a stream close by you is to go to google and enter "HYDROSTREAM MASH SITE". That will call up all streams for sale on ebay, craigslist and Kijiji all at once. Here is the link. Good luck and choose wisely. Take your time and make the right decision. Don't be afraid to rip it apart and rebuild. It takes longer but in the end, you will know everything inside and out on the boat. If you decide you are going to do a recore, get the boat that is the most rotted. The core comes out easier that way. Just my opinion. Bill
