Vking windshield mounting

Post: # 18726Post BQUICK »

How does the windshield attach at the rear? I have the frame and a windshield on the way. Is there a channel bracket of some kind that the frame attached to?

There should be a notch in the deck that it sits into.

See the arrows in the picture. Click to enlarge the picture.

Hope that helps.

Yep. If there is no screw holes you have never had a windshield mounted to it before. Use a good stainless steel self tapping screw or something. Thats what I have but the have also been pre drilled and dont over tighten then so you dont wreck the fiberglass.

It's a new rail from Hydrostrean in Tracy, CA purchased in 2000. The guy who bought it tried to install and broke the windshield they provided. Boat was sold to me with just the rail. i need a shield ....was going to go with acrylic but thinking epoxy now sice the guy broke the acrylic so easily.

OK, I got an acrylic windshield, however the shape isn't the same as the rail. How do I bend the rail to fit the windshield?
Windshield is flat across the top center but the rail is round like a horseshoe.....
