stock vamp rear seat mounting

Sorry for the noobish post but does anyone have pics of how the rear seat should mount in a vamp?
When I purchased the boat the rear seat was out and a home made box was installed so previous owner could fish off of
I was given the rear seat but cannot grasp how the heck it goes in. Obviously seat back can't be rigid mount as I need access to gas tanks and battery etc. What about the seat bottom? As there is nothing on the floor that it would wedge against? Added a somewhat crappy pic that shows what I have.
Fwiw, my boat made its maiden voyage finally like 2 weeks ago. Still need to install carpet and back seat and tidy up a few things to be done. Ideally redo the seats when money allows.
