Vegas fuel tank install
I removed the fuel tank from my Vegas because it had not been run for a few years(blown motor) wondering if the 6 screws in the front were all that were holding it in place. After pulling it out I was able to see the other 6 screws in the back of the tank.Since the fuel tank needs to be removed to access the bildge pump and other items, people must remove their gas tanks occassionally how do I fasten it back down?

Re: Vegas fuel tank install
If memory serves, there should be two small brackets that are screwed into the floor as close to the transom as possible. These things have small offsetting bends in them that make the front half approx. 3/16 inch in the air. Install these at the proper width so that they will capture the tabs on the back of your tank when you slide it back in.
That's the way mine is

Re: Vegas fuel tank install
I just know i have swore a lot trying to get to the motor mount bolts behind the tank. I found a soft spot in the floor by the rear corner of the tank so it will have to come out soon.

Yep. I think of it as a good thing, if it's wet after a "little" work it will be lighter.VultureNo2 wrote:On the Vegas?
