Does anyone know what the overpowering rules are in Wisconsin? I saw that in a previous post someone said if the boat was built before 1984 if was fine (were they being sarcastic?) I have a ventura with a 235 and wonder if the authorities would like my setup if they looked closely at it?

dunno about the U.S.A.
but i always figured it would be more for insurance purposes
if something was to happen and your boat is overpowered
you're basically at fault right off the bat
probabaly voids any liability payouts as well

Deathmachine, any chance that is a brown one you bought off of Craigs list from Savage? Or better yet maybe a red and silver from Blomington? I grew up there and now live in Lakeville.I run mine on the river alot and put in below the 35 bridge.Maybe we could get together for a running sometime.

Welcome Streamfreak, I'm also a MN viper owner down in Montgomery.

How is the river for running in a small boat? I would bet it's better now that most of the boaters are done for the year.

If your interested there is going to be a get together of about 20-30 performance boats up by st cloud this weekend shoot me a PM if your interested.

Oh and 330 hp on a viper is a lot of fun

Sorry guys it was a last second thing, that and the weather wasn't looking so hot. I wasn't going to go but I had to pick up a powerhead anyway.
